Cody, WY to Bozeman, MT

Written politely 2018-06-12.

We woke up and gathered our things and had breakfast around the teepee.

Then we began our trip to Yellowstone.

The drive was fantastic and filled with tons of great views.

We had lunch at a cute little town called Cooke City. Lunch was expensive, but it was fun to sit down with everyone and eat a lunch that we didn’t have to prepare. The server brought out crayons and paper for the kids to color. We ate family style and shared mostly everything. AM had some nachos, KM had a hot dog that was huge, and CM split a turkey sandwich with me. JM had a grilled chicken sandwich (shocker).

Entering Yellowstone was a lot of mountains, fir trees, and quite a few deer and bison.

We had to drive through the park to get to our campground. It was humorous to see people running, literally, to try to get a picture of an animal. I didn’t try to get a picture of them, but everything else was looked like some variation of this.

It was really cool to see the trees that were rotting (fix this name later).

When we got to our cabin, we were checked in by a brunette in overalls in a golf cart. Our cabin had a bedroom with a kitchenette, a small room with only bunk beds, and a bathroom with a shower. It was nice to have a shower in the cabin for a change. The view from the cabin was fantastic overlooking the river and the small town was perched on the other bank of the river before rolling into snow capped mountains.

The campsite was nice with their own homemade mini golf course which the kids enjoyed.

C said, “I think I am going to be a good golfer someday.” We met a mother and her son, Luke, also golfing.

After another dinner that Jill prepared, we put the kids to bed and watched Overboard until we were ready for bed. Where is Kurt Russell these days?
